REMEMBERING SOMEONE WHO HAS DIED

grave

Whether you are arranging a funeral, or remembering a loved one who has died, we hope the information on this page will be a help.

Funerals are generally arranged through the funeral directors. If you would like a service at St Cuthbert’s Church, then you should make your preference known to your funeral directors, who will help you to make arrangements.

At St Cuthbert’s Church there are a number of ways of remembering loved ones:

We have a Garden of Remembrance in which cremated remains can be interred. However, these are ONLY available for those who live in the Parish or are on the church electoral roll.

There is a Book of Remembrance in which names of the departed can be inscribed.

Once a year, we have a Service to Remember Loved Ones.

At our Sunday and Wednesday services, we pray for those who have recently died. Prayers can also be offered around the anniversary of a death. If you would like someone added to the prayer list please contact the church office or speak to a Warden following any of our services.

Do get in touch with us if you would like to talk over any issues surrounding a loss, or if you would like someone to visit you.
