FRIENDS OF ST CUTHBERT'S

St Cuthbert’s Church is the oldest public building in Southport.  There has been a place of worship on this site for around a thousand years and there is a complete list of Rectors dating back to the 12th Century.

Generations of people from far and wide have come to St Cuthbert’s for its services, for special occasions such as Easter, Rose Queen Festival, Harvest and Christmas.  They have come to be married, have their children baptised and to say their farewell to the world.  They have joined in the wide range of activities like Sunday Club, Café Church, Pre-school and Playgroup, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Beavers, Rainbows, Mothers’ Union, Men’s Supper Club, Art Group, Choir, Badminton and many more.

If you care about St Cuthbert’s Church but for one of a variety of reasons are unable to visit or worship here on a regular basis, you may be interested in sharing in the life of the Church by becoming a member of the “Friends of St Cuthbert”.  If you are, please  complete and return the attached form or contact Keith Hamnett on 01704 211776.
